Yes, we can now reveal that Pheebs and I have a little person in development! The expected due date is the 22nd June 2012 and is going to come round before we know it. That actually means we’ve got to get the major parts of the house work complete by then as I don’t think we’ll have much energy to start with to be doing little person duties and DIY! As I type this we’re at the 16 week mark and this scan really bought home the fact that we’re going to be parents shortly…..gulp. I think I’d better by a DIY manual for babies as we’re both going to need it!

Yes, it’s Henry’s birthday today, so happy birthday furball. Henry is still a source of amusement in his daily quest for food which he never seems to tire of! He certainly dealt with the tin of tuna in a timely fashion and still had room for more (and we resisted otherwise he’ll get too round!).

Family Weekend in Oxford

Just spent a really good weekend with Pheeb’s family at the Rose Barn in Oxford which managed to cater for all 12 of us. During the weekend we visited Cogges Manor Farm and had an enjoyable time attempting to avoid getting soaked by the falling rain! We also got a chance to visit Birdland and had some fun looking at the various birds kept there. I think the highlight were the Penguins, who spent a vast amount of time swimming and waiting for their next feed!

Another milestone today in that I reached the grand old age of 38! Celebrated with a family and friends with a meal at the Anchor Inn, at Lower Froyle. I’d definitely recommend a visit as the atmosphere, staff, beer and food all top notch!

So I think it’s a big happy birthday to Kathryn, although I didn’t get much of a chance to talk to her during her party as she appeared to be having too much fun without conversing with older people!

Dad sent me a link to the Sherington Historical Society’s website where some of Helen Harrison’s (my Nan) pictures are on display. She was a fantastic artist and is missed by all of her family. The cool thing is that her art lives on to be enjoyed by countless others…..
