Bond is back…..

Phoebe and I went to see Casino Royale today as it was something to do whilst the weather was crap (and I had a day off in lieu). I must say that I wasn’t dissapointed in Daniel Craig’s performance as the latest member of the James Bond clan. Anyway I tend to make my own opinions on films rather than listen to the film critics. He plays Bond just before his 00 status and has taken the Bond we knew and loved to a new level……..a better level. Craig takes the role in a tougher, grittier, more human approach which works. It does take a while for me to get to grips with new Bond but I’m already looking forward to the next installment. :)

The MouseTrap

Phoebe and I paid a visit to the St Martin’s theatre last night to watch Agatha Christie’s “The MouseTrap” now in it’s 54th/55th year of production. I’ve been meaning to go and see it for years as the world’s longest running play and I finally got round to it! :)

It’s set in the early 1950’s and located in Berkshire, England in a old family house called “Monkswell House” which is owned by Giles and Mollie Ralston. The story unfolds as Giles and Mollie open their guest house for the first time……which get’s interesting as the various guests turn up…….

….but you’ll have to go and see it for yourself to find out what happens…. :)

Well with John moving down to Brighton and Alex moving onto other projects the band has finally had it’s last practice. It’s been fun whilst it’s lasted but a shame that we didn’t get a chance to gig. Kev managed to plug us all into his portable recording studio and the mp3’s from this escapade can be found here.

Good luck to the rest of the guys in whatever they do next. Perhaps we’re see each other in other musical adventures….
